This is a new product from Ryobi and solves a problem I have had in the past: getting the inset f… This is a new product from Ryobi and solves a problem I have had in the past: getting the inset for a hinge just right without ruining a new door. In the past I have used a hand chisel, since I felt I had more control than with a router but it usually gave me ugly cuts and took a lot of time. This template makes hinge installation essentially error free and can work with essentially any door thickness. This package is a one-stop shop: all you need is a router and you are on your way, since it comes with a router bit and a self-centering drill bit for the screw holes. The built in router bit depth gauge and the on board storage for all the pieces is a great touch. Excellent template/jig for a task I used to hate; highly recommended. These RYOBI door templates for lock setting and cutting hinges are well thought out, inexpensive and good value. Sure they are not as solid (being made of plastic vs metal) as some of the professional templates, but they are adequate for DIYers or even contractors that need to hang the occasional door. This template allows you to quickly cut different size hinges with radius or square corners (you will need to use a chisel to cut out square corners) using the included router bit. TIP: use a trim router if possible because it is much easier to handle and less like to accidentally chew up the template than a full size router. How to Replace Your Pool Filter Pressure Gauge
Step 1
The first step is to turn off the pool pump to stop the flow of water through the pool cartridge filter.
Step 2
Next you will have to relieve the pressure that has built up in the pool filter. To relieve pressure turn the air relief valve on top of the filter counter-clockwise. Water will spray out initially as you see the pressure on the pool filter pressure gauge go to 0 psi.
Step 3
Twist the base of the pool filter pressure gauge counterclockwise to remove the gauge from the top of the pool filter head. You may have to use an open-end wrench to loosen the gauge. If you twist too hard from the top of the pressure valve, you may break the valve.
Step 4
Wrap the threads of the pressure gauge with 3 layers of plumbers Teflon tape. Wind the tape CLOCKWISE as you face the open end of the fitting, beginning at the end of the fitting. DO NOT use Plumber’s Pipe Dope.
Step 5
Hand tighten and then turn the base of the gauge 1/4 turn with an open end wrench. DO NOT over tighten.
Step 6
Turn on power to the pool pump to repressurize the pool filter.
Step 7
The air relief valve should still be open. As the pressure builds, air will be released through the relief valve. When water starts to spray out of the valve, turn the valve clockwise to close it.
Step 8
Check the pressure gauge. It typically reads between 10 – 20 psi but this will vary according to the make of pool cartridge filter or its age.
