Our New 5th Wheel – Sierra Luxury 391FLRB – The Apartment On Wheels

So we got a decent deal on this new 5th wheel and we went ahead and got it. We were planning on waiting a little bit to pick one up but it was hard to pass on this deal. These post-covid or covid-era built RVs are a little worrisome, but we did a pretty thorough pre-check walk through and it seems to be in good working order. I mean, it’s new.. but that 1st year for an RV is usually full of issues. I hope not, but we will see. Fingers crossed (maybe toes too).

Several DIY online videos suggest that if your Frig is not working on AC and you have check the power supply, the glass fuses and heating element, than its likely that the lower control board is bad. So I went this route and purchase a new lower control board, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem. I was fortunate that Amazon allow this item to be returned for a refund. I was pretty much resigned to running the frig off LP gas until I learned that the upper control board could cause this issue. So I purchased a upper control board and it solved the problem. My frig now runs off of AC or gas, depending on if the AC is available. Therefore, if you are have a similar problem with your RV refrigerator, know that replacing the upper control board may solved your problem.
